The concern was over the company’s attitude towards unions, and specifically the victimisation of cleaning staff trying to organise themselves.
It was agreed that members benefit from being informed of vacancies, and that it is not feasible to check a company out every time we post news of a vacancy. However in future, every vacancy notice will be accompanied by a disclaimer, making clear that posting the vacancy does not imply any endorsement of the company by the NUJ. AW 2009-06-05
