ADM makes policy and sets priorities for the union. Resolutions are submitted by branches and voted on by branch delegates. The July meeting (Thursday July 9) will consider which motions to put forward to this ADM.
Submit a resolution
If you wish to submit a motion for consideration by the branch, please make sure it reaches the secretary (oxnuj@aol.com) by July 1st, as all resolutions have to be circulated to branch members a week in advance.
Should there be a national quality campaign for books/journals as there is for news journalism?
Should the NUJ be exploring local solutions to the crisis in news media? If you want to suggest policy on this or other topics, submit a resolution and we’ll vote on it.
Stand for branch delegate
The Oxford branch has the right to send two delegates to ADM. If you feel you would like to become more involved in the union, putting your name forward as a branch delegate is a very good way to start. AW 2009-06-04
