Life as a working woman in PalestinePublic meeting, Sunday March 8th, Oxford Town Hall, 2.30-4.00pm As part of the celebrations for International Women’s Day, Hanan Bannourah, newly elected President of the Palestinian Health Workers’ Union, will be speaking about life as a working woman in the occupied Palestinian territories, and how her union has been growing in response to the economic crisis, worsened by the Israeli blockade, roadblocks and checkpoints. The meeting is organised by the Oxford Ramallah Friendship Association, Oxford Trades Union Council and Oxford Unison Health Branch. The Oxford NUJ donated £20 to help with the airfare. AW 2009-03-06
